Frequently Asked Questions

At Glosz, your working comfort comes first. That is why we have listed the most important questions and answers for you.

No, filters are model-specific. Because every brand and every type of dust collector (built-in or mobile) has its own unique dimensions and shape, it is crucial that you choose the exact right filter. In this collection, you will find both the original filters for Glosz systems and certified filters for Saeyang equipment.

To make it as easy as possible for you, each filter’s product title and description states exactly which specific model it is suitable for. Not sure which model you have? Feel free to contact us, and we’ll happily help you check right away!

To ensure optimal protection for your health and that of your clients, we recommend replacing the filter completely every 2 to 4 months. If you work full-time and put in long hours in the salon, the filter will become saturated with invisible micro-dust much faster than if you work part-time.

As soon as you notice the dust collector making more noise, losing suction power, or leaving fine dust behind on your table, it is time for a replacement. A fresh filter guarantees maximum suction and the cleanest air in your salon.

No, please never do this! Our filters are made of special, high-quality microfibers or paper structures designed to trap microscopically small dust particles. If these materials come into contact with water, the fibers will stick together, permanently clogging the filter. As a result, the device will instantly lose its suction power, and the motor may overheat. Only clean the filter using dry methods.

We have great news for both Glosz and Saeyang filters: they can both be easily removed from the top! This means you never have to deal with awkward maneuvering. To extend the lifespan of your filter and maintain optimal suction, clean them after each treatment as follows:

- Remove the ventilation grill or filter cover from the top of the device.
- Pull the filter straight up and out.
- Walk over to the trash can to gently tap the filter out, or conveniently vacuum the pleats first using a handheld vacuum or regular vacuum cleaner.

Afterward, simply place it back in from the top, and you are instantly ready for your next client. Tip: Always wear a face mask when tapping out or vacuuming the filter to avoid inhaling any loose fine dust!

A clogged filter is not only bad for your health, but it also negatively impacts the overall experience in your salon. When a filter is saturated with fine dust, the extractor's motor has to work much harder to move air. This causes the device to run hotter and become significantly louder. By replacing your filter on time, your dust collector continues to operate whisper-quietly, preserving that serene salon atmosphere while significantly extending the lifespan of your valuable equipment.
